I wish I knew then what I know now. All those baby changing bags I went through. I was never satisfied with the space (never enough) or how they looked (especially how they looked). Most of all they all just felt so 'Mumsy'.
On my previous blog I wrote a post on changing bags by Timi & Leslie. They are gorgeous and made specially for busy, stylish Mummy's. But no changing bag really has longevity, does it? It will always be a changing bag, even when your kids are 15 and don't need nappies. So a while ago I moved on from the changing bag and invested in a Louis Vuitton Neverfull. The name says it all really. Why had I not done this before?! A big bag that can fit all sorts of stuff, my stuff, their stuff, Daddy's stuff - anyone else fed up of being handed things to carry?! - and looks good. Besides one internal pocket, there are no special compartments, just one big space to throw everything in to. As if you have time to mess around with compartments anyway.
This style is known as a 'shopper' and is definitely one of the best for Mum's. Whether you have babies, toddlers or school age kids, this kind of bag will be your best friend. I take mine everywhere, even without the kids. It has also been used as our beach bag numerous times and holds up against anything that's thrown its way - weather, juice, half-eaten chocolate bars and all those stray baby wipes.
Here are a few shoppers that are out there right now
1 Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM £755 - the price has gone up recently. I know it's pricey but it lasts forever and you will definitely get your money's worth!
3 New Look Colour Block Tote Bag £24.99
6 Longchamp Le Pilage Eclipse £130
Which do you like the look of?
